The Store Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficient inventory management, excellent customer service, and a well-organized shopping environment. This role plays a vital part in maintaining stock levels and assisting customers in finding the right products.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to ensure adequate supply.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and assist in inventory reconciliation.

Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist customers, providing information on products and services.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure satisfaction.

Sales Support:

  • Assist in promoting store promotions and sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue.

Store Operations:

  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Assist in the layout and display of furniture to enhance customer experience.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Store Manager and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail management is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in retail or store operations, preferably in the furniture industry.
  3. Strong customer service and communication skills.
  4. Basic understanding of inventory management and sales principles.

Storekeeper

We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Zone team as a “Store Keeper”. This includes handling supplies receipt and distribution, conducting inventories, and ensuring inventory control in alignment with organizational policies and SOPs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. The storekeeper will be responsible for overseeing general and department-specific daily store activities.
  2. Record incoming and outgoing equipment/items, manage inventory management system software, and handle equipment deployment and allotment.
  3. Maintain daily store records and ledgers, including the details and record-keeping of damaged and condemned items.
  4. Issue store equipment based on voucher requirements and coordinate with HQ inventory team.
  5. Compile daily store reports and prepare reports related to store operations.
  6. Procure equipment with the purchasing committee from zone petty cash and projects as required.
  7. Act as the charge holder for store items and ensure the upkeep of the store.
  8. Maintained inventory records, update as items issued or received, and reconciled inventory information.
  9. Basic math skills are necessary for tasks such as inventory counting, order fulfillment, and financial record-keeping.
  10. Conduct physical inventory of the store and supply yard, determining proper floor and shelf locations for supplies.
  11. Receive and verify items delivered by carriers and freight companies.
