An updated version of Max-Q power-saving architecture versions of GPUs was announced by Nvidia which can benefit users of high Intel laptop chips. It has specifically been designed for high-end gaming laptops. A major change has reportedly been made to the Optimus design which is being termed as Advanced Optimus. This advanced optimus works when a laptop switches to a high-power, battery-killing discrete Nvidia graphics card from its basic integrated graphics. This switching to the Advanced Optimus is regarded as being more efficient. The Lenovo Legion 7i and 5i are the first laptops announced with Advanced Optimus support. They are expected to be released in late 2020. This is also good news for users of high Intel laptop chips in Pakistan.
