Khushhali Microfinance Bank Limited, which used to be called Khushhalibank Limited, was set up in 2000 as part of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan's Poverty Reduction Strategy and Microfinance Sector Development Programme (MSDP). The Asian Development Bank (ADB) helped make the MSDP possible. The Khushhali Microfinance Bank (KMBL) is regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and has its main office in Islamabad. The bank's board is made up of seven top business bankers, fund managers, and microfinance experts from around the world. Reselling microfinance services and helping to stabilise the country's new microfinance sector are still part of the job.
