We’re looking for a full time Product Marketing Manager - Data Management and Decision to leverage your data and analytics expertise to drive marketing strategy, positioning and messaging, content, portfolio readiness and thought leadership in SAS’s target markets
Organizations are increasingly relying on data, analytics and decision in an agile manner to get value from their investments. As our newest Product Marketing Manager, we will leverage your data and analytics expertise to drive marketing strategy, positioning and messaging, content, portfolio readiness and thought leadership in SAS’s target markets.
You will act as a primary “go to” marketing person, as well as create and deliver credible and unique content to differentiate SAS Data Management and SAS Intelligent Decision offerings in the market.
- Create and communicate compelling positioning and messaging for data management and decision topics and technologies for relevant buyer and user personas.
- Define and devise marketing strategy and plan based on inputs from analysts, customers, and prospects.
- Be an expert on your target audience and understand their challenges and goals; be an expert on your competition and how to outcompete them.
- Lead and execute on new or existing product launches to acquire and retain customers.
- Formulate content strategy based on gaps in the customer buying cycle and develop content (e.g., success stories, interactive videos, eBooks, Web content); collaborate with the global or regional GTM team for content activation.
- Be a thought leader for data, analytics and decision topics and lead creation and delivery of byline articles, blogs, videos, speaking engagements, event presentations etc.
- Craft and deliver compelling presentations and stories for in-person, online, or digital events and customer or partner engagements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry analysts and thought leaders to support briefings, inquiries, and vendor evaluations; serve as a spokesperson and provide content for interactions with PR and analyst community.
- Enable sellers and partners to effectively communicate the value of SAS to customers and develop sales tools that can be used to train sales staff.
- Collaborate and partner with product management, marketing, sales, and R&D teams to enable product, market, and customer readiness.
- Set, track, and drive key success metrics to increase awareness, engagement, and demand.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Pre-Sales, or related function in the software industry.
- Articulate and knowledgeable about the needs, concepts, capabilities, and value from Data Management, Decision Management, Analytics Solutions, or Cloud technologies.
- Experience with one or more Data Management, Analytics/AI or Decision Management products from SAS or competitor (e.g., cloud or enterprise software provider).
