  1. Responsible for overseeing and managing the insurance-related operations in the hospital
  2. Establishing a swift and automated system for verifying insurance benefits/ limits, submitting pre-authorizations, ensuring fast-track approval from the insurance companies, monitoring admitted patients for coverage limits, extensions and enhancements, and final approval
  3. Training front-end hospital staff about the eligibility and evidential documentation requirements of each insurance patient, i.e. room and services entitlement, co-payment model (if any), and approval process
  4. Ensuring proper financial counseling of the patient/ family and the insurer by providing realistic treatment estimates
  5. Educate patients about their insurance coverage, assist in resolving queries, and facilitate smooth coordination between the hospital and insurance companies.
  6. Work closely with the finance, billing, and medical coding departments to streamline insurance operations and minimize claim rejections
  7. Monitor claim trends, generate reports on claim status, and provide recommendations for process improvement
  8. Communicate with insurance companies and clients to resolve any issues or discrepancies in insurance claims. Assist clients in navigating the insurance claims process and provide them with the necessary support and guidance
  9. Ensure compliance with local and international insurance laws, hospital policies, and medical coding guidelines (ICD, CPT, HCPCS)
