Key Responsibilities:

1: Recruitment and On boarding:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees, ensuring a smooth on boarding experience.

2: Employee Relations:

  • Handle employee queries and concerns, providing effective and timely resolutions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiatives and addressing employee relations issues.

3: Performance Management:

  • Assist in the implementation and management of performance appraisal systems.
  • Work closely with managers to address performance issues and provide guidance on improvement strategies.

4: Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate training programs.
  • Support the development of employee skills through various learning and development initiatives.

5: HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Assist in the development and updating of HR policies and procedures.

6: Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the ERP.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics as required by the management.

7: Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies, and other perks.
  • Communicate benefits information to employees and address inquiries.

8: Exit Management:

  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience of at least 3 years in a similar HR role.
  3. Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficient in ERP and MS Office suite.
  6. Certifications in HR management will be an added advantage.

HR Intern

The HR Intern will support daily HR operations by managing records, updating employee data on the ERP system, assisting with onboarding, training, and employee engagement activities. The incumbent will ensure proper documentation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Post, update, and ascertain employment records, and obtain documentation from the employees
  2. Maintaining a database of individuals.
  3. Processing of documentation for records and background checks.
  4. Assisting in the onboarding procedures.
  5. Assisting in maintaining employee records on ERP.
  6. Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  7. Sending reference check emails for newly hired employees and following up accordingly.
  8. Assisting in employee orientation.
  9. Assisting in Training and Development activities.
  10. Participate in organizing company events and careers days
  11. Assisting in day-to-day operations of the HR functions and responsibilities.
  12. Planning and execution of employee engagement events.
  13. Maintaining HR presence on different social media channels including LinkedIn etc.

Scope of Work:

The AI, Data & Software Architecture Lead will undertake the following tasks, organized into distinct phases:

Assess Current Data & Software Infrastructure:

  1. Collaborate with the Strategic Advisor, Lead Customs & Trade Facilitation Advisor, and the Product Strategy, Management & Delivery Lead, in addition to the relevant stakeholders in PSW and FBR to assess the current WeBOC database and data infrastructure, including data quality, performance, and security.
  2. Identify gaps and limitations in the existing software and data infrastructure and make recommendations for improvement.

Design Data & Software Architecture:

  • Based on stakeholder requirements, use cases, and industry best practices, design a comprehensive data and software architecture for the new WeBOC system.
  • Ensure the architecture is modular, scalable, and can accommodate future growth and evolving needs.
  • Incorporated advanced analytics, AI/ML, GenAI, and Agentic AI considerations into the data architecture design.
  • Determine hardware requirements for the new architecture.
  • Determine any licensing costs of required software tools required for the new architecture.
  • Deliverable: A comprehensive data and software architecture design document that outlines the structure, components, and functionalities of the new WeBOC system's data infrastructure.

Develop and Deploy AI/ML Models:

  1. Develop and deploy machine learning models to enhance the Risk Management System (RMS) and other functionalities of the new WeBOC system.
  2. Collaborate with the Lead Customs and Trade Facilitation Specialist to ensure the models align with customs regulations and risk management best practices.
  3. Integrate the AI/ML models into the software architecture and ensure seamless data flow and processing.

Implement Data Architecture:

  • Collaborate with the PSW technical team to implement the data architecture and integrate it with the overall software architecture.
  • Oversee data migration, data quality assurance, and system testing.
  • Provide guidance and support on data governance, data security, and data quality assurance, using frameworks, such as DAMA, TOGAF, etc.
  • Deliverable: A fully implemented and operational data architecture for the new WeBOC system, including integrated AI/ML models for enhanced functionalities.

Optimize Software and Data Architecture:

  • Continuously monitor the performance and scalability of the implemented software and data architecture.
  • Make necessary adjustments and optimizations to ensure it meets the evolving needs of the WeBOC system.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and the technical team to improve the data architecture's efficiency and effectiveness.

Knowledge Transfer:

  • Provide training and support to the PSW team on the new data architecture and its functionalities.
  • Develop documentation, guidelines, and best practices for data governance, data security, and data quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the development of user manuals and knowledge transfer resources for PSW staff and other stakeholders.
  • Deliverable: An optimized and well-documented software and data architecture for the new WeBOC system, along with comprehensive knowledge transfer resources for PSW staff and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with AI/ML, GenAI, and Agentic AI technologies.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud-based data solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
