We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Officer to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of day-to-day HR activities. The HR Officer will play a crucial role in recruitment, on boarding, employee relations, and HR administration.HR Officer responsibilities will span across various HR activities, contributing to the overall success of the company's workforce management.

Key Responsibilities:

1: Recruitment and On boarding:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees, ensuring a smooth on boarding experience.

2: Employee Relations:

  • Handle employee queries and concerns, providing effective and timely resolutions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiatives and addressing employee relations issues.

3: Performance Management:

  • Assist in the implementation and management of performance appraisal systems.
  • Work closely with managers to address performance issues and provide guidance on improvement strategies.

4: Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate training programs.
  • Support the development of employee skills through various learning and development initiatives.

5: HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Assist in the development and updating of HR policies and procedures.

6: Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the ERP.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics as required by the management.

7: Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies, and other perks.
  • Communicate benefits information to employees and address inquiries.

8: Exit Management:

  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience of at least 3 years in a similar HR role.
  3. Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficient in ERP and MS Office suite.
  6. Certifications in HR management will be an added advantage.

HR Intern

The HR Intern will support daily HR operations by managing records, updating employee data on the ERP system, assisting with onboarding, training, and employee engagement activities. The incumbent will ensure proper documentation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Post, update, and ascertain employment records, and obtain documentation from the employees
  2. Maintaining a database of individuals.
  3. Processing of documentation for records and background checks.
  4. Assisting in the onboarding procedures.
  5. Assisting in maintaining employee records on ERP.
  6. Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  7. Sending reference check emails for newly hired employees and following up accordingly.
  8. Assisting in employee orientation.
  9. Assisting in Training and Development activities.
  10. Participate in organizing company events and careers days
  11. Assisting in day-to-day operations of the HR functions and responsibilities.
  12. Planning and execution of employee engagement events.
  13. Maintaining HR presence on different social media channels including LinkedIn etc.
  14. Any other duties assigned by HOD

CPPA-G is a non-profit independent company established under the Company Ordinance 1984, responsible for electric power procurement, billing and settlement on behalf of Distribution Companies and facilitating the competitive electric market development initiative of Government of Pakistan.

  1. Position Title: Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
  2. Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  3. Place of Posting: CPPA-G Islamabad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical & Commercial Expertise: Strong understanding of power sector operations, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Contractual Knowledge: Experience with contractual arrangements for power/energy sales and purchases.
  • Legal, Regulatory & Policy Compliance: In-depth knowledge of industry legal, regulatory, and policy frameworks, ensuring compliance in daily operations.
  • Power Generation: Expertise in technical and commercial aspects of conventional and non-conventional power generation, including testing and commissioning.
  • Transmission & Distribution: Knowledge of technical and commercial operations in generation, transmission and distribution sectors.
  • Contracts Management & Negotiations: Experience in managing contracts and negotiating terms with IPPs.
  • Cross-functional Mediation: Ability to mediate and facilitate decision-making between technical, commercial, and financial teams.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience in managing medium to large teams effectively

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of power plants such as desk control systems, safety of equipment, working of associated equipment, etc.
  • Understanding of energy and other purchase agreements, contract management, project development, etc.
  • Knowledge of system protection, design, planning, grid system operations, etc.
  • Understanding of power policies and other power sector related laws and regulations as notified time to time by Government of Pakistan, NEPRA, Ministry of Energy, etc.
  • Knowledge of role of NEPRA as regulator and close liaison with the same w.r.t. the issues pertaining to CPPA-G.
  • Understanding market operation and dynamics of power sector of Pakistan and its future outlook.

Management Skills:

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelors or masters Degree (16 years education) in engineering (Electrical / Power or related field).
  • The candidates having additional degrees in Business Administration or Project Management from reputed institutions (Local or International) or an International
  • Certification/Courses in related field will have a competitive advantage.

Professional Requirements:

  • The potential candidate must have at least 18 years post qualification experience.
  • The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in the Power Generation and 05 years experience of working in senior management.
  • A role as head of department in any large power/energy sector organization of good reputation is required.
  • The applicants having international exposure in the power sector will have an added advantage.
