Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:

    • Supervise branch operations, including cash handling, customer transactions, account servicing, and administrative functions.
    • Ensure accurate processing and timely completion of branch transactions while minimizing operational risks.
    • Manage branch resources efficiently, ensuring optimal staffing and workload distribution for smooth branch functioning.
  2. Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and anti-money laundering (AML) procedures.
    • Implement and enforce Know Your Customer (KYC) policies, security protocols, and other compliance measures.
    • Conduct periodic risk assessments and internal audits to identify gaps and take corrective actions as necessary.
  3. Customer Service Excellence:

    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring prompt, courteous, and effective service delivery.
    • Address and resolve customer issues, complaints, or escalations efficiently.
    • Promote customer-centric practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
  4. Branch Security and Cash Management:

    • Oversee cash handling procedures, including cash vault, ATM, and teller transactions, ensuring adherence to cash control policies.
    • Manage branch security measures, including monitoring alarm systems, conducting security drills, and implementing contingency plans.
    • Ensure cash and vault balances are accurately maintained, performing reconciliations and addressing any discrepancies.
  5. Sales Support and Cross-Selling:

    • Support the branch in meeting sales and profitability targets by identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to drive product awareness and customer education on bank offerings.
    • Guide and train branch staff on promoting products and services effectively to customers.
  6. Staff Supervision and Development:

    • Supervise, mentor, and train branch operations staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and accountability.
    • Conduct performance reviews, set individual goals, and identify training needs to develop branch employees.
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  7. Administrative Duties and Reporting:

    • Ensure all branch records, reports, and documentation are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
    • Prepare and submit regular operational reports, performance metrics, and compliance summaries to the Branch Manager and Regional Operations Head.
    • Maintain organized and accessible records for audits and inspections.
  8. Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement in branch operations and implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure the branch remains compliant and competitive.
    • Actively participate in operational audits, analyze findings, and implement recommended corrective actions.

Under the Companies Ordinance, 1984, Faysal Bank Limited was set up in Pakistan on October 3, 1994, as a Public Limited Company. The Pakistan Stock Exchange has the Bank's stock. Faysal Bank does business in Islamic banking, retail banking, corporate banking, and commercial banking. Barkat is Faysal Bank's Islamic Banking Division. It has 197 full-fledged Islamic banking branches that offer Shariah-compliant banking goods and services to all types of customers.

Faysal Bank now has over 400 branches in more than 120 places, including 197 Islamic branches. It has more than PKR 444.5 billion in assets, which makes it one of the big players in Pakistan's banking business. Faysal Bank wants to meet its customers' financial needs while giving them the best care possible.

To be a Commercial Bank, Faysal Bank Limited has the right licence from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Barkat, Faysal Bank's Islamic Banking division has also been given the licence to work as a different division with Islamic operations that are separate from conventional operations. Following the rules set by the Banking Companies Ordinance, 1962, it does banking business.
