As an Enumerator Intern at Rozee, you will engage directly in a pivotal research project for the London School of Economics. This project-based internship offers you the opportunity to partake in telephonic surveys, providing valuable insights to aid in data collection and research analysis. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who possess excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. Your role will contribute significantly to our understanding of research methodologies and help drive decisions based on collected data. The position is based in Lahore Gulberg and operates during business hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for a duration of one month. We seek dedicated interns who are punctual, reliable, and eager to join our team within this week to make a meaningful impact on our research efforts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct telephonic surveys following specified research protocols and guidelines.
  2. Gather data accurately and efficiently, ensuring precision and clarity in responses.
  3. Maintain accurate records of survey responses and input data into the designated systems.
  4. Demonstrate strong attention to detail by reviewing collected data for any inconsistencies or errors.
  5. Communicate effectively with participants, providing assurance of confidentiality and the purpose of the survey.
  6. Demonstrate problem-solving skills by addressing any challenges encountered during data collection.
  7. Manage time efficiently to ensure all surveys are completed within project deadlines.
  8. Report findings and observations to the research team for further analysis.

Community Mobilizer

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of a Community Mobilizer in an immunization programme is to increase community participation and awareness of immunization programmes through community engagement, behaviour change communication, and social mobilization strategies. The role of a Community Mobilizer is to build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, identify and address barriers to immunization uptake, and monitor and report on community engagement activities and outcomes to improve programme planning and decision-making.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Mobilize and engage community members to increase their knowledge and understanding of immunization programmes, promote community trust and participation, and encourage behaviour change.
  2. Plan and organize community mobilization activities such as community meetings, door-to-door visits, and community outreach events.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including local leaders, health workers, and community-based organizations.
  4. Work with community members to identify and address barriers to immunization uptake, including misconceptions and misinformation about vaccines.
  5. Monitor and report on community engagement activities and outcomes to inform programme planning and decision-making.
  6. Participate in training and capacity-building activities to improve knowledge and skills related to community mobilization and immunization programmes.
  7. Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Intermediate degree in social sciences or in a relevant field, such as community development, social work or minimum intermediate education.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in community mobilization and engagement activities, preferably in immunization or public health programmes.
  • Knowledge of community engagement principles and strategies, including behaviour change communication and social mobilization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with community members and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to plan and prioritize work effectively.
  • Proficiency in local languages and English is a plus.

Communication Block Officer

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of a Communication Block Officer is to build and maintain positive relationships between an organization and the community it serves through communication, collaboration, and partnerships at the UCs block level. Their role is to provide support to communication component and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. They will support the communication component of micro-planning through the Union Council Polio Eradication Committees (UPECs) of the assigned UCs within a block and oversee and support UC level social mobilization plans, the strengthening of local partnerships, and inclusion of and access to mobile and migrant populations in polio eradication activities. They will also provide support and training to Community Mobilizers and other partners especially focusing on interpersonal communication skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Build strong relationships with communities in the region and ensure that their needs and perspectives are taken into account in programme planning and implementation.
  2. Develop and maintain an effective communication network with community leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  3. Facilitate the formation of community groups and networks to support the programme objectives.
  4. Support the development and implementation of community-led initiatives and activities.
  5. Develop and maintain challenge mapping and social profiling of Missed Children (Recorded Refusals, Still NA, and Persistently Missed Children) of the previous round for carrying out engagement activities prior to the next campaign.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness of the organization’s advocacy issues and achievements.
  7. Ensure that programme activities are sensitive to the cultural and social norms of the community.
  8. Develop and maintain a database of community groups, networks, and key stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or in a relevant field, such as public health, social work, or community development.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in community mobilization & engagement activities, preferably in immunization or public health programmes.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and an understanding of cultural sensitivity and humility.
  • Ability to travel within the Block as needed.
