RESPONSIBILITIES:

Installation and Configuration:

  1. Install PostgreSQL server software on appropriate hardware and operating system.
  2. Configure PostgreSQL settings such as memory allocation, connection limits, logging, and authentication methods.

Database Design and Schema Management:

  • Design and create databases and schemas based on business requirements.
  • Optimize schema design for performance and scalability.
  • Manage database objects like tables, indexes, views, and sequences.

Backup and Recovery:

  • Implement backup strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery.
  • Perform regular database backups and test the restoration process.
  • Configure and manage PostgreSQL\'s built-in backup tools like pg_dump and pg_basebackup.

Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

  • Monitor database performance, resource utilization, and query execution times.
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Tune PostgreSQL configuration parameters for optimal performance.

High Availability and Replication:

  • Configure and manage replication for data redundancy and failover.
  • Set up streaming replication, logical replication, or synchronous replication depending on requirements.
  • Implement tools like pgpool-II or repmgr for automated failover and load balancing.

Security Management:

  • Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.
  • Manage user authentication and authorization using roles and permissions.
  • Configure SSL/TLS encryption for secure connections.
  • Apply security patches and updates in a timely manner.

Capacity Planning and Scaling:

  • Monitor database growth and plan for future capacity needs.
  • Scale PostgreSQL horizontally or vertically based on workload demands.
  • Evaluate and implement features like partitioning and sharding for improved scalability.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop scripts and automation tools for routine tasks like backups, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Use tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for configuration management and deployment.

Troubleshooting and Incident Response:

  • Investigate and resolve database-related issues such as data corruption, connectivity problems, and performance degradation.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures and maintain knowledge base for future reference.

Compliance and Auditing:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
  • Implement auditing mechanisms to track database changes and access.

Disaster Recovery Planning:

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Test disaster recovery plans regularly to ensure they are effective.

Documentation and Training:

  • Document configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to developers and other stakeholders on PostgreSQL usage and administration.

Assistant Manager Internal Audit

  1. Compliance to fraud risk assessment and ensure its implementation throughout the organization.
  2. Performed receivables audit and preparing age analysis for different customers.
  3. Understanding and documenting the existing business processes and preparation of control matrixes, GAP analysis and remediation plan.
  4. Complete grip on SOX404 implementation throughout the organization including its testing and then reporting.
  5. Designing and implementing the controls for different IT based modules (like; Inventory management system, Payroll module, Provident fund module etc.)
  6. Control testing of Oracle Reports including testing of automated procedures.
  7. Preparing different internal audit reports on company operations.
  8. Highlighting the needs to improve work methodology for gaining efficiency and reporting the same to Manager Internal Audit and General Manager.
  9. Customer’s contracts verification and sending confirmations to receive Client’s confirmation due to unavailability of contract or difference in rates of MTBC and other acquisitions.
  10. Review & Circle up activity of SEC filing 10Q for each quarter and 10K as part of year end activity and activity of shares issuance documents.
  11. Surprise policy compliance audits of different departments.
  12. Various analysis to be performed as per Management and supervisors requirement e.g. Electric Audit, meal and fuel cost analysis, Employee Store cost analysis, MTBC indoor pharmacy Audit. Comparison of stationary, office supplies, pantry items with Metro and CSD, Employee store vendor analysis etc.
  13. Going through all the phases of implementation of new Accounting Standards as if we successfully implemented ASC 606, revenue recognition and complete testing of Contract Asset as result of new accounting standard.
  14. Quarterly verification of Contracts Asset including its cutoff procedures.
  15. Verification of financial data of MTBC given by any other organization on quarterly basis.
  16. Supervising the Internal Audit team of MTBC ISB & Bagh office and allocating them any new task.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Experience testing enterprise software, either on-premises or SaaS.
  • Experience testing both front- and back-end systems; this is a full-stack position.
  • Experience creating test frameworks.
  • Experience writing automated tests, in any language.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration processes.
  • Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or JavaScript for UI test automation.
  • Experience in programming languages like JavaScript & Python.
  • Strong organization and communication skills, written and oral.
